Paper tube cutting for film core is the process of converting long spiral-wound tube into the finished cores that film, foil and laminate rolls are wound onto. Q1: Why does cut quality matter so much?
A1: Because the core contacts the innermost layers of the roll. A burr or crushed end marks the film, and the damage often only appears when the customer unwinds the roll. Burr-free cutting is the specification to insist on.
Q2: Single blade or multi-blade?
A2: Multi-blade synchronous cutting is faster for high-volume single-length production. Single blade is more flexible when you change lengths often. Tell us your mix and we will recommend one.
Q3: Can it feed a slitting line directly?
A3: In many layouts, yes. If you run high volumes of a few core sizes, pairing the cutter with the slitting line reduces handling and core inventory.
